A chance meeting with a Corrie star

Firstly, we would like to say thank you for taking the time to read our blog and hope you enjoy following our journey leading up to the main event – hiking Mount Everest for Help For Heroes (H4H) in November 2017. H4H are a charitable organisation that help provide better services and facilities for British Servicemen and woman who have been wounded or injured in the line of duty. Check out their website for a complete list of the amazing work this charity does – www.h4h.org.uk

But today, we are going to tell you about how we met the actor, Antony Cotton, or ‘Sean Tully’ from Coronation Street as you may know him. We met Antony at a music night performed by the amazing Catherine Pitfield (another fantastic member of the Corrie cast). At the after show dinner, Catherine introduced us both to Antony and little did we know, he is an ambassador for a number of charities including H4H!

To tell you the truth, we felt very privilege to have met Antony and I thought it was a right result! After chatting to Antony, (he was a complete gent) we realised what an inspiration he is; in the work that he does for all these charitable organisations and the time he gives up to help others. We are now looking forward to meeting Antony again soon to update him about our journey so far and what we’ve got planned for the next year of fundraising for H4H.

Speak soon,

Glenn and Jess xx
